- "I am an excitable person who only understands life lyrically, musically, in whom feelings are much stronger as reason. I am so thirsty for the marvelous that only the marvelous has power over me. Anything I cannot transform into something marvelous, I let go. Reality doesn't impress me. I only believe in intoxication, in ecstasy, and when ordinary life shackles me, I escape, one way or another. No more walls." ---Anais Nin

Hi
I stumbled across your blog when I was Googling some information about the voice of Anne Boleyn and was fascinated by the approach you have on this infamous Queen consort. Like you, I am studying and have decided to base my work on Anne Boleyn, the focus being on her voice since there is little we know of how she sounded.
Just out of curiosity, how does Anne Boleyn sound to you? It would be interesting to get another’s opinion on this.
Hi Laura!
I’m happy you enjoyed reading my posts! I always enjoy hearing from fellow admirers of Anne Boleyn.
When I imagine what Anne Boleyn’s voice would sound like, I imagine it to be a strong voice, but very melodic and eloquent. I imagine she would have the ability to let her voice carry quite far if she intended. I imagine her speech to be very smooth and flowing.
Happy New Year, and I hope you enjoy your studies of Anne Boleyn as much as I do!
Hi
Thank you for your reply. That’s the voice I have in my head of Anne Boleyn, certainly smooth and flowing since she was fluent in more than one language and well educated. A strong voice I think she would possibly have gained from being in the Low Countries and the eloquence shaped in the French court.
Happy New Year!
Laura
